TIM MACHIN – NEW WORK
Tim Machin has been commissioned to make a series of new works that will
occupy the unique ground floor exhibition space at LOT.
The Manchester based sculptor makes works that are Lilliputian in scale
yet monolithic in their utopian ambition. Employing materials such as
packets of Blu Tak, the cardboard box from a packet of colouring pencils,
promotional literature from Lloyds Bank, Machin invests each work with
a frugal economics and wry humour, tactics that if employed on a grander
scale could be globally transformative.
