THE YOUNG RESIDENTIALS

New Work By Ceri Clements, Amy Feneck and Chris Fordwoh

14.05.05 – 30.05.05

Private View – 14.05.05. 6-8pm

LOT are pleased to announce a show of brand new work by three artists living and working in Bristol. Clements, Feneck and Fordwoh are the first of two sets of resident artists who have been provided production space and curatorial assistance to support the development of new work.
Clements’ work involves a mixture of scultptural objects and staged events to bring about a curious questioning of the everyday around us. On the opening evening she will be being hypnotised behind closed doors as well as producing an uncanny installation comprised of oversized props.
Adjacent to Clements, Fordwoh has produced a maelstrom of objects, signs, recordings and sculptural clutter that occupy the ground floor spaces. This weird concoction includes Hong Kong Fuey, a cardboard mule, ramschackle tower blocks and a host of other oddly accumulated characters.
Upstairs Feneck quietly presents three new films that quietly and sensitively explore architectural space in a selection of locations. Each film gently draws comparisons to LOT as a space of accumulated layers of memory and activity.

On the evening of 21st May from 8pm onwards LOT will be constructing a rooftop cinema. Drinks and food will be available. For further details of the work or the rooftop cinema event please contact LOT by calling 07815 743 451 or by e-mailing LOTmail@hotmail.co.uk
